How much net worth does an individual need to qualify as an accredited investor?

ANSWER: According to the SEC’s Regulation D, a person whose individual net worth (or joint net worth with that person’s spouse) exceeds $1M will qualify. But, so will any person who had an individual income in excess of $200,000 in each of the past two years ($300,000 with a spouse) and expects to reach the same income level in the current year.
