Agreement:
The parties in the agreement. Listed first is the client company: the company purchasing an asset, sponsoring research, and/or taking a license as provided by the agreement. In Drug/Biotech alliances, the pharmaceutical company is always listed as the client, even when the biotech in-licenses products. In University/Biotech and University/Drug agreements, the university is always listed as the client. Listed second is the R&D company: the name of the biotech contracting for the sale of assets, equity or technology, conducting research and/or licensing a product or program. Where agreements involve only pharmaceutical companies as parties (Drug/Drug), this field contains the name of the licensor or seller under the agreement.
Date:
The date of signing of the agreement. If there are two dates separated by a dash, the first date is the date of signing and the second date is the date of the most recent amendment.
Type:
The type of contract(s) which the parties have entered into over the life of an agreement. Types are:

Size:
The disclosed total potential precommercial size of the agreement in millions of dollars of payments by licensee to licensor. Includes upfront payments, sponsored research, equity, milestones, loans and any other precommercial payments. Where potential payments are unknown, actual payments received are included where available.
Equity:
The amount of equity purchased in the agreement to date (not including contingent purchases not yet undertaken), in millions of dollars.
Royalty:
The highest royalty rate, transfer price or profit sharing percentage identified in the agreement or subsequently disclosed.
Subject:
A brief phrase describing the subject of the agreement.
