Deloitte Recap LLC Announces the Launch of the
Recap IQ Series by Deloitte

In July 2008, Recombinant Capital, Inc. was purchased by Deloitte LLP and is now known as Deloitte Recap LLC (Recap). Recap offers biopharmaceutical business intelligence subscription tools and consulting services tailored toward business development, corporate strategy, financial, legal, academic, and R&D professionals.

In July 2009, Recap launched DEAL builder and VALUATION analyzer, the first two premium database modules in the Recap IQ Series by Deloitte. The subscription database products within the new IQ Series provide analytical tools to help Life Sciences companies leverage comprehensive biopharma alliance data, deal values, and drug development histories to support the development of alliance and clinical development strategies.

DEAL builder and VALUATION analyzer are biopharma business intelligence tools for managing alliance formation, the lifecycle of the alliance, and deal valuations. These modules offer unique insights into biopharma alliances via access to unredacted, unpublished agreements secured through Freedom of Information Act requests of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

In September 2009, Recap launched the third product, DEVELOPMENT optimizer, within the Recap IQ Series.

DEVELOPMENT optimizer is a groundbreaking business intelligence tool that is changing how clinical development decisions are made. Designed with the same meticulous, data-rich approach that is the hallmark of the Recap brand, DEVELOPMENT optimizer offers new ways to look at attrition, development and regulatory performance, and termination efficiency. This new product offers unique analytics backed by detailed drug development histories to provide competitive intelligence for business and clinical development.

To commemorate the launch of Recap Basic, we are delighted to unveil a breakthrough tool for Effective Royalty Rate (EFR) analysis. This tool, which we call the EFR Grapher, allows you to perform real-time searches of over a thousand biopharma alliances to see the post-launch payments negotiated for deals matching your criteria and stage of clinical development.

Steady As She Goes
Biotech and specialty pharma firms raised nearly $14 billion in the first half of 2010 – and if the pace continues for the rest of the year, it could be a record-breaker.
